I jump, startling myself. Thankfully, the cup in my hand is empty. I must have fallen asleep because I have no clue what the ending is. I make my way into the living room. As I walk in, the antique grandfather clock chimes. It's six.

Beth walks in behind me. “How was the movie?” she asks.

“I missed the ending. I fell asleep,” I say as we both laugh a little.

“Have you checked your cell? Colin said he tried to text you earlier. He texted me when you didn't respond.”

“I forgot I had it really. I'm not used to having one. But I'll check it real quick”

I go into the theater room and find the cell between the seat cushions. Guess that explains why I didn't hear it. I look at it. There’s one message. I click on the message icon and open it.

Colin: So, I hear you like Pretty Woman? How far did you get?”

Janie: Yes, I do, but passed out near the ending.

Colin: Maybe we can watch the ending together and continue with another when I get home tonight?

I smile like a kid in a candy store. As long as we don’t watch that wolf documentary, I’m good.

Janie: I would like that very much :)

Colin: I'll see you soon, Love. Greg is driving like an old man tonight.

Jane: See you soon, and safety first.

I return to the theater room to reset the movie where I think I fell asleep and pause it there. I head to my room, place my cell on the dresser, then enter the bathroom to shower quickly. I slip into some overly comfy pajamas.

When I head back down, Colin is standing in the kitchen all business like donned in a gray suit, black shirt, and a light, smoky-gray tie. He looks like a model ready for his photoshoot, and I'm looking at him wearing my pajamas and damp hair.

Just doesn't seem right.

He winks. “Dinner and a movie?”

I giggle. “A date it is then.”

“Beth will bring two plates in the theater room in a few minutes. I'll go wash up and change into something comfortable.”

“I'll be in the theater room waiting,” I say shyly. How can women work with him looking hot as he as does?

Beth is there setting our dinner up on a beautiful table that I never noticed in the back of the room. It smells amazing. My stomach reacts instantly. She places the two plates on the table with two glasses. Then she leaves the room. She returns shortly with a bottle of wine, silverware, and napkins.

“It's perfect,” I tell her. “Beth, this is amazing. Thank you.”

“It's no bother. You two enjoy your dinner.”

She walks out of the room and shortly thereafter, Colin walks in. His hair is damp and it's a little messy. He's in plaid pajama bottoms and a white t-shirt that is stretched across his upper body. He goes over to the table and gestures me to come meet him. He pushes my chair in as I sit, then joins me. I take my napkin and place it in my lap as he pours wine into our glasses.
